ARCs I have read this week
I had a chance to read a few ARCs earlier this week and enjoyed them very much. I appreciate all the authors who allow me the opportunity to be on their ARC Team. Let’s face it....I’m too impatient to wait for the books to be released so this is a win-win situation!
I am currently reading “Untangle My Heart” by Iona Rose that is releasing tomorrow, stay tuned for a review in the next few days. Next up on the ARC TBR will be “Back in the Burbs” by Tracy Wolff and Avery Flynn. It releases on March 30th so that review will be up next week.
“Oops, I’ve Fallen” by Max Monroe releases on Saturday and thanks to Kindle Unlimited, I’ll be reading it for free this weekend. I have a feeling I’ll be laughing a lot with this one, I’ll let you know for sure next week.
This story is told from four points of views, the three Summer Sisters — Jennifer, Lynn, and Courtney — along with Jennifer’s husband Mark. At times I would read a few paragraphs and have to glance back at the start of the chapter to double check who’s point of view it was. It seemed a bit much, but by the time I was halfway thru the book I realized the story couldn’t be told any other way. If we only got one or two POVs, it would not serve justice as each of these characters are a key part of the story.
Ms. Cullen has done a great job of relaying the emotions of the characters and making the story believable/realistic. There is drama, lies, miscommunication, ignorance of situations, marital issues and love of family.
As a first time reader of Ms. Cullen’s work, I look forward to reading more of her books.

This is a small town romance with forbidden love, comedy and mystery mixed in and is written from the heroine and hero’s point of views. Laura moves back home from the big city to help organize and take care of her sick dad and frazzled mom. She is a cop and accepts a job with the local P.D. where the chief (Brody) happens to be her older brother’s best friend, and her high school crush. The story takes us thru their emotions and actions as they try to deny their attraction and work together to solve a missing person case.
I love the banter between Laura and her dad as well as with her brother, you can tell there is a lot of love between them. Laura is a strong female lead as she is confident in her job, in her choice to uproot herself and move home, taking charge to organize her parents, and in standing up for what she wants. Brody is what I would call a typical person who has lost a spouse and is internally debating whether he deserves to be happy in love again. The mystery of the missing person is interesting to read about, Ms. Black did a great job of carrying the storyline and having Laura & Brody find clues. I’m not a typical mystery reader but this was the perfect amount because the mystery is more of a “background” story.

This is the third book of five in the new “Off Limits” series and the book ends in a cliffhanger. You definitely need to read book one, “Make Me Wild” and book two “Make Me Miss You” before reading this book.
Written from both Isabella and Ren’s point of view, you learn that each has succeeded in achieving the goals they had set when I growing up. The only problem with that is neither one truly seems happy and don’t seem to know why. Once the accidentally find each other, they are forced to spend time together. This leads to discovering why they are unhappy with their personal lives. Ms. Snow does an excellent job of telling the story so that we go thru all the feelings of hatred, forgiveness, friendship, laughter, drama, misunderstandings, and possibly romance with the couple.
This is another five star read that once again, I could not put down. Im looking forward to the next two books and hoping they written just as well as the first three.
