EVERY TIME I FALL
by Lexi Ryan
Orchid Valley Book 3
BLURB
Written in the first person from dual point of views, this is the story of Abbi and Dean. Abbi is a curvy woman with low self esteem and a lack of confidence in the bedroom thanks to a jerk of an ex boyfriend and a few other guys. Dean is the best friend of Abbi’s older brother and he’s trying to get over an ex hook up. Abbi and Dean come up with a plan where they can help each other but it turns out it’s just not that simple to do.
Ms. Ryan does an excellent job of developing the characters so that you are able to relate to them. Whether you are curvy or not, almost everyone lacks some confidence in their love life. While Abbi’s is mainly in regards to her body, Dean lacks confidence as well. His just isn’t related to his body but rather if he can be a good partner or if he’ll cheat like his father.
The side characters are wonderful as well, Abbi and Dean have a great group of friends. I like how supportive they are and how all the women are there for Abbi when she needs it. There are some laugh out loud moments and also emotional scenes that may make you want to cry. There is also drama, angst, miscommunication, and some sweet romantic moments. All of this helps make the book relatable.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily giving an honest review
