I would love to hear from you if you read this wonderful series…please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.
Losing a critically injured crash victim at the site wins her no fans, and Fire Chief Logan Cooper doubts her capabilities. Yet, no matter how irritating she finds him, he turns out to be a steady point of reference as she begins to navigate her new surroundings and meet the friendly and not-so-friendly oddballs who live in the town.
When a runaway Burmese python invades her shower as she stands there naked, it’s Logan who hears her screams and comes running.
How do you reward a man who’s willing to be your hero?
Everyone Has A Past
This is book one of six in the “Find Me in Serenity” series and you definitely will want to read them in order. Written in the third person, we are introduced to our main characters Jenna and Logan. There are also lots of fun side characters — neighbors, coworkers, and townsfolk. Everyone has something from the past that they don’t want to share and it seems Jenna has quite a bit. I’m looking forward to finding out what all is involved in her past and if she and Logan can build trust.
I did enjoy the banter between Jenna and Logan — especially how Logan basically states something rather than asking and Jenna seems OK to go along with it.
BOOK 2 BLURB
Everyone
Has A Past
Ms. Cruise has a knack for telling about small towns — nobody locks their doors, neighbors stop by with welcome gifts of food & beverage, neighbors walking in your home without waiting for a response after a quick knock, and everyone knowing your business.
I continue to enjoy the banter between Jenna and Logan, love the “Smokey & the Bandit” reference, and those Grace Triplet Sisters are a hoot!
BOOK 3 BLURB
Once again Logan rides to her rescue. Jenna’s grateful, and though she finds it harder and harder to keep her hands off him, there’s the matter of a bet she rashly made with him: No sex for seven days. The one who caves in loses.
The man is so irresistible that she’s willing to throw the bet, make love to him again and damn the consequences . . . except that the entire town has thousands riding on their wager, and are eagerly watching them both to see who caves.
Laughter, Romance, and a Troublemaker
This is book three of six in the “Find Me in Serenity” series and you definitely will want to read them in order. Once again, Jenna has found herself in trouble with Logan coming to her rescue and this time Paisley and Tiffany are involved too. You can say that Jenna and Logan have a love/hate relationship but I feel it’s more love based on the way Logan takes care of Jenna.
Ms. Cruise has a knack for packing lots of action into a few pages thus grabbing your attention and keeping you entertained. She also has a way with dramatic cliffhangers which leaves me anxiously awaiting book four to see what kind of trouble Jenna can cause. And those wonderful side characters keep me in stitches — I don’t think I’d want to eat anything that comes out of Sergeant Wallace’s Tupperware. And the bet, OMG only in a small town does everyone bet the odds on that type of bet.
BOOK 4 BLURB
It’s hard getting used to small town life, thinks Dr. Jenna Novak, especially when you’ve made a stupid sex bet with a hunky, gray-eyed fireman called Logan Cooper, and everyone thinks they know how the bet ended.
It’s best to just focus on work, especially when the only thing standing between you and a cell at the sheriff’s office is Logan’s influence. Why does she always find herself owing him one?
Over and over her thoughts of Logan get in the way. Why does it feel like they’re not just in it for the sex anymore?
Jenna’s life gets even more complicated when her ex-fiancé, recovering addict Kent, arrives in Serenity and wants her back. Her answer is no, but Kent isn’t trying to hear that.
When Logan walks in on the discussion, what he sees is sure to give him the wrong impression. And Jenna finds herself at a loss to convince him otherwise.
MY REVIEW
Romance
and Happiness...Can It Last?
I am enjoying this series and Ms. Cruise has a knack for packing a lot of action and many emotions into a short story. I feel like this book has a little more happiness and good times than the previous three books.
This is book four of six in the “Find Me in Serenity” series and you definitely will want to read them in order.
BOOK 5 BLURB
Dr. Jenna Novak has a hard time convincing Fire Chief Logan Cooper that the last thing on her mind is a relationship; not with him, and certainly not with her ex-fiancé, Kent, who has arrived in Serenity and insists that they were meant to be together.
It sure is reason to lose sleep. On one hand she’d be perfectly happy never to see Kent again, except that as a doctor she took a vow to help those in trouble, and Kent’s addiction is clearly riding his back.
On the other hand, the intense, searing sex she’s been having with Logan has begun to morph into something different. It’s been invaded by pesky emotions such as tenderness and caring . . and we can’t have that! Her only recourse is to resist, resist, resist.
A devastating accident leaves Jenna questioning her devotion to her duties as a doctor, and she begins to feel that helping Kent recover from his dependency might be the way to pay back her dues to the universe.
But Logan isn’t convinced. It’s a clear case of him vs. Kent. He makes no secret that she needs to choose.
MY REVIEW
I enjoy hoe realistic this series is, the ups and downs of two first responders in a relationship, the small town feel where everyone knows your business, and how welcoming everyone is to newcomers— ie: Tiff & Celeste’s growing family.
This is book five of six in the “Find Me In Serenity” series and they must be read in order. If you haven’t read any yet, now is a good time to start as the final book will be released on May 11, 2021.

The experience puts to rest many of the questions Jenna had about her capabilities as a doctor, and about whether she could ever truly belong here in Serenity. What if she decides to stay on a bit longer? And what if one of her motivations to do so was Logan himself? But she promised herself: no more affairs of the heart.
A slow winter jog helps clear her mind, but an ugly encounter with Kent on a lonely road turns into a battle for her life as he decides that he’s going to have her, whether she wants him back or not.
All she can do is use her wits to stay alive, and hope that Logan isn’t fed up with having to rescue her over and over. And if he’s prepared to do it, can he get to her in time?

Finally
NO Cliffhanger !!!
So many emotions throughout the series and this book is no exception. Jenna and Logan have been thru so much since they met and so far they’ve managed to find their way back to each other. This time, Jenna’s ex has abducted her and it is at a time when Logan and her are fighting. Can he figure it out in time and save her?
One of my favorite scenes was the
camping trip, or at least until the fight. The other scene you will find at the
end. Both show how much they truly care for one another.
These are the first books I’ve read by Ms. Cruise and I have enjoyed this series so much I had to read each book the day they came out as an ARC. I am looking forward to reading the “Carter Brothers” series next.

BLURB
For aching souls, longing for solace, Serenity might just be the ideal place to find everlasting love.
As former Army trauma surgeon discovers the moment she arrives in Serenity, small towns are far from sleepy or dull. There’s always something happening . . . from outdoor gatherings where the best barbecue sauce recipe is worth fighting over, to the karaoke bars where friends gather to gossip, unwind and hook up.
There are the identical Grace triplets, sweet old ladies who run the town like the Mafia. Old Sergeant Wallace, the ex-mercenary who takes his pet python for walks. Tiffany and Celeste, a young couple looking for a place to carve their niche. Paisley, the feisty firefighter no bigger than a fun-sized candy bar, but who can swing a mean right hook. And some of the dreamiest, hunkiest eligible bachelors in town, like the smoky-eyed Fire Chief, Logan Cooper and the quick-tempered and demanding Sheriff, Roger Walsh.
So many lives, all interconnected.
And who knows who else is waiting on the horizon, ready to step into their lives?

Time
to Meet A Few of the Side Characters
Find out about Quinn’s arrival in town & how she wins the town over with her medical skills.
Sondra shares a little about one of her boy toys. I love how she mothers him and tells him when it’s time to leave to meet up with the marching band.
Faith is a regular bossy old gal who is orchestrating the 4th of July events. You can tell it is her way or the highway based on how she asks Renee and Jax if there are grapes in the potato salad.
Roger is stuck barbecuing next to Logan and there is a funny mishap with some steaks.
Tiffany has moved to Serenity recently as she decided she is in love with Celeste who is acting odd that day.
Logan goes to talk to Quinn, forgets about his ribs on the grill, and runs back over only to....You have to read for yourself!
