Small Town Romance

This is the first book from Elena Aitken that I have read and I will be reading the previous books in this series if they are as good as this one. Each book is a standalone and they can be read in any order or you can just read the books that sound good to you and you will be able to follow along.

Ms. Aitken has created wonderful characters with Bella and Jeremy in this small town, second chance, sweet romance. Bella is a strong, independent, and talented woman who came to town to convince her elderly grandfather to move to senior housing. She left town to go back to the city to meet with an agent and audition for a starring role in a movie. She returns back a few days early to surprise Jeremy, which is one of my favorite scenes.

Jeremy is a hot and handsome firefighter dedicated to the job and his coworkers, is up for a promotion to fire chief, and is sweet, romantic, and totally in love with Bella. He plans romantic and fun outings for the two of them and tries to spend as much time with Bella as he can before she starts filming and recording, but gets distracted with trying to help his sister escape an abusive relationship.

There are some ups and downs, miscommunication, and not so supportive things said that leads to the couple breaking up. Will they be able to work it out?
